Great 18th Birthday Party in Double Dome Marquees

Plenty of 18th Birthday party ideas here. One of the most exciting 18th’s held at a magnificent private venue. Dinner in the main hall followed by dancing and cocktails until 4am. Then not much sleeping in a marquee all kitted out with bedding and breakfast. All designed, organised, executed and cleared up by Capability Events.


Festival-themed joint 18th / 50th Birthday Party with Scouting for Girls and Toploader

We loved designing and producing this joint 18th / 50th Festival Themed Birthday Party.  Scouting for Girls and Toploader smashed out the party hits and guests danced late into the late night to our top club DJ’s.

350 guests arrived to a champagne drinks reception all decked out in their best chic festival gear. Flower headbands, glitter face paints and henna tattoos abounded as guests excitedly ran around the mini fest greeting their friends and popping in and out of the festival themed photobooth.

With staff serving pints of festival cocktails (to cut down on the queueing) guests were soon in the party mood and gave Toploader a rapturous welcome with even the 18 year olds belting out Dancing in the Moonlight as the full moon rose over the event (it really was a full moon!).

After Toploader came the main event – Scouting for Girls absolutely nailed it for the birthday girl – even getting her up on stage to join in and singing happy birthday to her. Truly a great moment.

From pizzas to Espresso martinis

Guests grazed on stone baked pizzas freshly rolled from soft dough in front of them, pork rolls, ice cream and chocolate brownies. There was even an artisan coffee horse box trailer to keep guests going until the early hours. At one point I found my cocktail guys getting fresh espressos to mix into their cocktails resulting in little sleep for everyone. But, hey – you’re only 18 once!

A great party – even our most experienced party planners got over excited on this one. There is even talk of a “Next Time…”

Joint 50th / 18th Birthday Party in a Marquee on a Tennis Court

We planned and produced this fantastic combined 50th / 18th birthday party in our frame marquees on a Tennis Court for 200 guests. Guests enjoyed a Champagne drinks reception, Canapes and a three course meal followed by Cocktail Bar, Band and DJ until the early hours.

We advise that you allow us to thin the cocktails, if needed, in order to keep the excess in control.
