Great 18th Birthday Party in Double Dome Marquees
Plenty of 18th Birthday party ideas here. One of the most exciting 18th’s held at a magnificent private venue. Dinner in the main hall followed by dancing and cocktails until 4am. Then not much sleeping in a marquee all kitted out with bedding and breakfast. All designed, organised, executed and cleared up by Capability Events.

Festival-themed joint 18th / 50th Birthday Party with Scouting for Girls and Toploader
We loved designing and producing this joint 18th / 50th Festival Themed Birthday Party. Scouting for Girls and Toploader smashed out the party hits and guests danced late into the late night to our top club DJ’s.
350 guests arrived to a champagne drinks reception all decked out in their best chic festival gear. Flower headbands, glitter face paints and henna tattoos abounded as guests excitedly ran around the mini fest greeting their friends and popping in and out of the festival themed photobooth.
Club DJ’s keep the dance floor rammed till dawn
With staff serving pints of festival cocktails (to cut down on the queueing) guests were soon in the party mood and gave Toploader a rapturous welcome with even the 18 year olds belting out Dancing in the Moonlight as the full moon rose over the event (it really was a full moon!).
After Toploader came the main event – Scouting for Girls absolutely nailed it for the birthday girl – even getting her up on stage to join in and singing happy birthday to her. Truly a great moment.
From Pizzas to Espresso Martinis
Guests grazed on stone baked pizzas freshly rolled from soft dough in front of them, pork rolls, ice cream and chocolate brownies. There was even an artisan coffee horse box trailer to keep guests going until the early hours. At one point I found my cocktail guys getting fresh espressos to mix into their cocktails resulting in little sleep for everyone. But, hey – you’re only 18 once!
A great party – even our most experienced party planners got over excited on this one. There is even talk of a “Next Time…”

Joint 50th / 18th Birthday Party in a Marquee on a Tennis Court
We planned and produced this fantastic combined 50th / 18th birthday party in our frame marquees on a Tennis Court for 200 guests. Guests enjoyed a Champagne drinks reception, Canapes and a three course meal followed by Cocktail Bar, Band and DJ until the early hours.

PARTY CHECKLIST
- Set a date – Advance planning ensures availability and accurate pricing from suppliers.
- Find your venue – We only organise 18th Parties in clients’ gardens with marquees.
- Decide on your guest list – Write it down and stay realistic. Most 18th’s are 80 to 150 guests.
- Discuss your initial ideas with others – Parents – talk to your kids, kids – talk to your parents!
- Think about how much you want to spend – This is the hardest part. Realistically the 18th birthday parties we organise range from £10k to £30k – depending on your requirements.
- Imagine what will happen on the night – Do you want a drink on arrival? Do you want circus acts? Do you want food? Write this all down so you have a specification for your party and if you are short of ideas, we have thousands we’ll share with you for free!

Our vast experience and the creativity we put into each and every 18th Birthday Party guarantees that it will be the most talked about event of the year. From the very first, no-obligation consultation we have with you, until the very last bit of clearing up is done – we take the responsibility to be in absolute control throughout every stage of your event.
You’re only 18 once. Make sure it’s a riot
Part of the success of our outstanding parties is that we control excess without obviously doing so. In this way you get excellent value for money with more than satisfied guests.
We take our responsibility for young people extremely seriously but they will never know that. We allow them free cocktails and drinks all night but have subtle ways of ensuring that they last till midnight rather than peaking by 9pm. We have found it is better to stay in control of the alcohol consumption with expert bar staff tailoring drinks to the guests, rather than restricting spirits which only encourages pre-drinking and bringing their own alcohol to the party. We advise that you allow us to thin the cocktails, if needed, in order to keep the excess in control.
