About
Capability Events
The
Capability Mission
"To perpetuate the values
of our namesake, the legendary Capability Brown, by applying creative
vision to every event and, in so doing, provide magical occasions
that live on in guests' memories long afterwards."
Ben Leeke (owner)
Ben Leeke started organising events
at fifteen and quickly established the now legendary 'Hellfire'
club. The growth continued until in 1999 he produced the massive
Black and White millennium ball. With top name acts, performing
on a stage built onto the front of a huge country house, the event
was attended by 3500 guests. He then worked as an exclusive event
consultant for some of the UK's leading country houses. He soon
started to notice a genuine need at the higher end of the event
market for bespoke mobile bars and after a short period of research
and development he launched 'Capability Events' in May 2003. It
was a smart collaboration of all the contacts and knowledge that
Ben had collected over fifteen years. Within two months clients
included Virgin, The BBC, a wealth of high end celebrities and individuals.
The bars Ben had created were unique to the UK market and soon Capability
Events were being booked by clients all over the country. Their
flexibility and ease for transport, construction and branding meant
clients could mould the bars to their event, creating the desired
atmosphere and establishing Capability Events as the leading mobile
bar specialists in the UK.
Ben still produces events worldwide.
In his spare time Ben is a part-time
fireman, plays rugby for the local 1st team and treads the boards
in various semi-professional theatre productions.
Ben
Wilson
After an explosion of business.
'Capability' decided it was time to expand and brought Ben Wilson
on board. (Left) Ben W is primarily from an advertising and marketing
back ground, and coupled with Ben Leeke's never ending production
knowledge it was the beginnings of a successful partnership. Ben
W has previously worked for the Telegraph' and spent 4 years between
London and New York working for clients such as Diageo, Apple Mac,
BA and the BBC.
In his spare time Ben W is an avid musician.
Kate McCreanor:
In June 2007 Kate joined the expanding team at Capability Events.
A media and communications graduate, Kate brought some much needed
organization and key communication skills into our newly located
office. She is responsible for the daily running of the office and
is on the front line dealing with old and new clients!
On events, Kates' friendly and approachable manner means she is
ideal to liase with and entertain clients. She has quickly become
an indispensable member of the Capability team and a much needed
calming influence on the rest of the team!
In her spare time, Kate loves all things fashion, fancy dress, cheese,
thunderstorms, shoes, films, popcorn and dancing like a fool.
Lorcan Lynch:
Lorcan first worked for us in October 2006 and has become a strong
member of the team since then. Having started in the warehouse and
as a bar staff member, he has worked his way up to being one of
our main event managers. His understanding of event production and
polite manner with clients means that as of January 2008 he has
also taken over a desk in our new office. Aside from working on
events, Lorcan will now be using his experience to help with our
ever increasing sales from new clients.
Lorcan is very sociable and plays first fifteen rugby for his local
team. He loves Brechtian theatre and is an established break dancer.
Our testimonials speak for themselves:-
Ben,
Two weeks on, time to reflect. Many thanks indeed for Capability
events contribution to the success of the above party. Your
understanding of the needs and behaviour of the target audience,
and ability to satisfy and control it on the night, does you
immense credit. Well done! Your additional input into the vexed
question of electrical equipment safety, was very much appreciated. I
feel you have the right ingredients to make a very successful service
company and I wish you the very best for the future. Should you
wish for a more formal endorsement or any further support, do not hesitate
to contact me.
Best regards
Mike Tunnell

Ben,
Just a quick note to say thanks and congratulations for the splendid
job Capability Events performed at our recent Village Bash
which was a huge success.
Feedback from your staff on the night confirmed that commercially
it was a success and we sincerely hope that you'll be
able to work with us again next August Bank Holiday.
Please pass on out thanks to all concerned.
Regards,
Gary
